I won the third prize in the shortfilm contest "Vision possible 2010 of the city Potsdam. You can watch my film here. The city of Potsdam and the Schloesserstiftung are using it together in order to introduce Potsdam to a wide audience: Potsdam in two minutes. Visit my birthtown. You´ll come back. :-)

 
Besides I create from time to time a clip such as the intro of this website or animations (see my 3D showreel for samples). I have also developed storyboards for several tv ads on tv series DVDs of the tv station Sat.1 during my work for MAWA Film & Medien. Discover more in my photo gallery

PACKAGING DESIGN. Here is a selection of my artworks for DVDs and CDs, special packaging and also some concept designs within the genres Music, Sports, TV series/ Film and Special interest.

By now I did several hundreds of prepress jobs, recreations and redesigns of artworks and created about more than 100 artworks myself. Have fun with this small Selección :-)

 

In 2000 I won the International AGFA Young Creatives Contest "City in a postcard" PLATINUM AWARD for the area of Germany. There is also a feature photo gallery with the other designers from 26 countries worldwide and our trip to Antverp, Brussels, Gent and Dusseldorf on this page. An amazing week! - Hi to all of you people from "Planet-Agfa" out there! :-)

From favicon over concept and screendesign, from intranet, microsites and newsletters to fully animated webbanner campaigns and interface simulations I´ve designed, supported and realized several interactive projects. Even search engine optimization (S.E.O.), lessons for my employers clients in editorial Typo3 editing. My Tools: handwritten HTML. Flash, Illustrator, Freehand and Photoshop. During the 7th semester of my studies I took part in a partnerproject with the Grundig AG called "homemedia mediahome" concerning the design of interfaces and interactive tools.

 

AYURVEDAMOMENTS - Enjoy indian massages with the power of Ayurveda by that service from Berlin in your own flat or even in the office. I do the corporate design from the first sketches of the logo to the website for AYURVEDAMOMENTS. Owner Andrea Schultze is my sister :-)

 

Delicious: Have you ever seen a dancing sausage? Take the chance and take a look at this funny and delicious site for Feinkost-Spehr, an excellent german catering service near Berlin. Besides the HTML I created the navigation, the intro and some content modular by using Flash and the Look for the twitter feed. Thomas Spehr is my brother :-)

Do you know Hovawarts, those beautiful blond and black dogs? I did a site about this breed with streaming Quicktime-Clips, lots of pictures and a flash-based navigation. Just try it. Its in german language. There is also a twitter feed. But I guess you´ll already smile watching the pictures of the puppies. Its the homepage of my parents :-)

 

Trendsetter: In 2005 I created a quick animated microsite for the advertising of DVDs by the London VJs addictive tv. Besides I´ve also created several PR materials for those really crazy discs (with artists like Le Hammond Inferno, Bauhouse, the Mellowtrons on it). In 2004 addictive tv became elected by the readers of the famous "DJ-MAG" as "DJs no. one of the world" - congratulations!

Check out www.BFK-HAMBURG.de, the website for a company offering services about Corporate Coaching, Corporate Communication, Corporate Design, Consulting, New Media, Editorial Design, Packaging, Direct Marketing. I created it as an intern with Macromedias Flash 4 and HTML. Here is an archive version.

"fluid wwweb" is a simulation of an interactive distance learning system - today called eLearning - done with Flash. Watch a screencast video and some screenshots of it.

 

"virtual store" was my first interfaceproject were I combined both animating-applications, Director and Flash to create the simulation. It shows a vision of a near future virtual store.

O N   T H E   W A L L

City of the BAUHAUS, Dessau. I´ve also created the design for the surface of three big former grey towers of a livingbuilding in the center of Dessau. Now you can see it here on this site. There is also a videoclip available.

 

I won a competition of the "Kurt-Weill-Gesellschaft" for the anniversary of the composer of the "three penny opera" and gave an old tower on Dessau maintrainstation a new surface. There is also a short videoclip available.

 

 
Even today I care for facades in cases of advertising and setting them into the right light. As a Junior AD in Berlin I create microwebsites with portfolios for hypermodern office space, fact sheets, brochure designs and even claims and other materials to find the right companies for these elegant buildings near and in the city of Frankfurt am Main in Germany.

Handmade: Here is a mixtured gallery of some illustrations, drawings, marker scribbles and paintings.

Besides I´ve also created scientific, statistical and technical illustrations in 2D and 3D in the meantime with digital tools like Indesign, Illustrator, Freehand and Strata 3D.

S O U N D ´N  M U S I C

Any sound you hear here on this webpage - from the soundtrack of my timelapse intro to all the soundtracks of the videoclips here to the sound effects in the navigation are selfmade. The last mentioned ones are mostly experiments, the first ones made with what Apples Garageband offers.

Just check out my 3D showreel, the Nordscheibe facade project or the intro of this website and listen. A fine thing for folks like me, who could not write a single music note but want to play with their piano keyboards anyway :-).

T E X T  &  S L O G A N S

Verbal acrobatics: A collection of long- and shortcopy samples, claims and slogans that I wrote in the past years. Many of the presented artworks here in my portfolio are already samples for that. Besides I wrote 6 years for our schools newspaper (also illustrations and photos, I was one of the founders) and never really put the pencil e.g. the keyboard away :-) You´ll find more of them in the descriptions of my projects.
